A collection of doodles, sketches, and scrap-paper designs by game developers around the world!
Game developers love brainstorming: they use notepads, whiteboards, napkins, Photoshop... anything they can dump ideas onto! They make calculations, lay out interfaces, doodle character designs, and collect their thoughts. Unfortunately, these glorious scraps almost always get thrown away, and rarely get looked at again. This is a creative museum where I collect and share the best of these scraps, to both preserve them and let them inspire others.

“This was something that was just supposed to be a quick sketch. 12 hours later, it turned into this. Meant to sell the idea of a small rural town in an alternate reality, somewhere between Swansea and New England (Providence, perhaps) in the 1800s. Was supposed to be a moody adventure type game, and we never quite settled on the theme or game mechanics. This was a couple years ago, and the project was unfortunately sidelined. I’d love to come back to it at some point, I really enjoyed working in ink.
It was with a small indie group that kept getting larger due to a lot of passionate people, but not a lot of game making skill. The perils of indie development.”
